SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

We have an immediate opportunity for a full-time Senior Environmental Engineer in our Pittsburgh (Carnegie), PA office. This position is well-suited for an experienced engineer who brings strong technical depth in remediation and water and wastewater treatment and is ready to play a meaningful role in project execution, client interaction, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the design of groundwater treatment and remediation systems, including process design, hydraulic analysis, and selection and layout of equipment, piping, and instrumentation;

  • Provide technical expertise for the operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing groundwater      treatment systems and remediation infrastructure;

  • Support PFAS treatment projects, including sampling approaches, treatment evaluation, and      regulatory considerations;

  • Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, including preparation and support of permit applications and compliance documentation;

  • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, and design documents;

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and budget management, with increasing responsibility as      appropriate;

  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and staff; and

  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client support

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience as an environmental engineer and a project manager, and will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering (chemistry focus preferred)

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Environmental Engineering with a strong emphasis on groundwater treatment, remediation, or process engineering;

  • Demonstrated experience with

    • Groundwater treatment processes and remediation systems

    • Hydraulic analysis and treatment system design

    • Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and equipment selection/layout

    • Remediation of environmentally impacted Sites

  • Experience working under state and federal environmental regulatory programs

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients, regulators, and project teams

  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred

  • Valid driver’s license
