Position Overview
KEY has an opportunity for a full-time Engineer in our Pittsburgh (Carnegie), PA office. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions and ready to play an important role in remediating impacted sites.
What you'll do at KEY Environmental
Lead and support the design of water and wastewater treatment, and water resource management strategies for site remediation projects.
Prepare hydraulic analysis and treatment system designs, engineering plans, and technical reports.
Provide technical support for the operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing water treatment systems and remediation infrastructure.
Support PFAS treatment projects, including treatment evaluation, pilot studies, and regulatory considerations.
Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, and prepare permit applications and compliance documentation.
Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, and design documents.
Support project planning, scheduling, and budget management, with increasing responsibility as appropriate.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and staff; and
Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client support.

Requirements:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, (chemistry focus preferred), Chemical Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on remediation site remediation.
Experience working under state and federal environmental regulatory programs.
Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
