Engineer | Scientist | Geologist

Entry or Mid-level Engineer | Scientist | Geologist needed at our Raritan, New Jersey office

Responsibilities for both levels:

  • Perform soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, air and wetland related sampling, evaluations, and/or testing​Perform soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, air and wetland related sampling, evaluations, and/or testing​

  • Provide technical oversight, reporting, and routine management of contractors for environmentally related activities, such as completing test borings and test pits, monitoring well installation, various construction activities, soil testing and quality assurance

  • Hands on implementation of plans and monitoring requirements in an outdoor field setting

  • Perform data management and analysis, and prepare technical reports that summarize data in a technically sound, clear, and concise manner

  • Design, project planning, and reporting activities


Additional responsibilities for Mid-level candidates:

  • Project/task management related to the investigation and remediation of contaminated properties

  • Ensuring projects conform to local, state, and federal regulation as applicable

  • Take an active role in business development activities


Entry level candidate:

  • Must have a minimum of a four-year engineering or geology/environmental science degree

  • Hold a valid U.S. Driver's license

  • Maintain a good driving record

  • Pass a background check and physical

Mid-level candidate:

  • Must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science with 3 plus years' experience in a related field with emphasis in Geotechnical or Hydrogeology areas preferred

  • Demonstrate experience in the investigation/remediation of contaminated properties

  • Experience in application of local, state and federal regulations to projects

  • Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, and technical analysis software, and other computer applications

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Must hold a valid U.S. Driver's License, maintain a good driving record, pass a background check, and physical

  • 40-hr HAZWOPER training preferred

  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a project team and multi-task environment
